Former Florida Governor and presidential candidate Jeb Bush is allegedly hopping mad at donor F. Paul Clifton when he asked his wife Columba to get him a glass water and some bread rolls. Columba is a native of Mexico. Jeb was said to be furious, but had to restrain himself because Clifton, a tea party member, is a major donor to the Republican party.
“I don’t know why he was so mad,” said Clifton. “She was wearing a black outfit and looked Mexican. I figured she worked there.”
The Republican Party is struggling to win over the Latino vote, which is critical because they are now the nation’s largest ethnic group. They have not been helped by the antics of presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has accused undocumented migrants of being rapists and drug smugglers.
When Trump heard about the flap, he had a sarcastic comment.
“Jeb is weak on immigration, because he likes his wife’s taco,” Trump said.
