Jim Bakker, a former superstar in the televangelist world, is now selling real estate in heaven.

Bakker has been urging his followers to make monthly $100 donations to ensure they will get a good place to live in heaven.

“I’m urging people to make these regular donations so we can offer up special prayers to guarantee their homes in heaven,” Bakker said. “People need to look at this like a down payment on their heavenly mortgage.”

Bakker and his ex wife Tammy Faye were among the most flamboyant televangelists of the 1980s, until they were brought down by financial and sex scandals. Bakker went to jail, but has resumed his ministry.

“Heaven has all kinds of property, ghettos, shacks, apartments, starter homes and mansions,” Bakker said. “Send in your love offering to ensure you have a palatial mansion in heaven. You want to make sure you are in a good heavenly neighborhood.”

    • Watch the show so you will know what he is really saying. This is why it is so easy for people to be lead by there nose because they believe what people write and you never try to find out what is true. Don’t by one of those ones that just believes what they hear.

    • I don’t follow him that much BUT I don’t believe he would have said something like this. I would have to hear it myself. Does someone have a link (video).

  1. Jim Bakker is like the Christian Taliban, promising if they sacrifice themselves for Allah, by blowing themselves up with a bunch of other people, they will be surrounded by virgins in paradise attending to their every desire. Pretty good scam for hucksters.

  2. The Bible tells us that Jesus already has prepared a place for believers at no cost. Jimmy,
you need to read your bible!

  3. Same old Jim Baker at work again. Don’t the bible say we are all to live in Gods house that has many rooms. He must be broke again. Looking for those that are easy to manipulate for his gain. Rot in hell Baker.

  5. You have to be kidding me ? What kind of man , besides a money grubber , would even make a stament like this?

  6. No doubt he is running this scam as a non profit. I wish we could get rid of the non profit scams including all of these “non profit” political fundraising organizations.

  7. And like I said, I don’t care about Jim Bakker but let’s at least be fair and understanding to everyone. That’s what will make this world a better place.

  8. This little troll hasn’t changed, has he? He currently has 9 complaints filed against him in the Better Business Bureau, 5 of which he hasn’t answered. he is much more interested in selling you bad freeze dried food which doesn’t have enough calories to properly nourish you, solar generators that don’t work half the time. If you notice on his infomercial show, he never has an alter call to get people to give their hearts to Jesus Christ and accept him as their Savior or to be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The first half of his infomercial show is to peddle buckets of awful slop as survival food, and then he brings in false prophets like John Shorey, Rick Joyner, or Jonathan Cohn with their heretical gloom and doom messages to get people to buy this manure. It is truly sad and sick, and he should be thrown back in jail where he rightfully belongs!

  9. suprised jimmy couldn’t dream up a new scam than resurrect the old selling of Indulgences trick. jiimmy needs refresher in Martin Luther and the Reformation.

  10. jim baker read your bible it said we will have mansion on golden street where in world do you get talk like this you sure havent change had mercy on your sould and leave old people alone.i didnt listen to you year ago because my spirit didnt belive in you and im not belive in you now

  11. I would have to hear him say this to believe it. Somebody has missunderstood him for sure. I don’t go for most of what he has to say but I definitely do NOT believe he would make such statements. Can someone give us a clip to prove they are right or wrong. He has just finished building a house for pregnant girls to keep them from having abortions (which I wholehardly agree with) and he is building a barn for storing food at least that is what I thought he said. I AM QUITE SURE HE HAS NOT SAID THE STATEMENT THAT IS PRINTED ABOVE AND if he did, he is totatly wrong. We can’t buy our way into heaven. Jesus died a horrible death tor our sins and NO MONEY can buy us a seat in Heaven.

  12. You people commenting on this like it’s anything other than a humorist’s invention further dim my already dark vision of the future of humanity.

If the “BS News, keeping it real” motto at the top of the article failed to register, this bit from the site’s About page might not clue you in either:

“The Business Standard News is a satirical site designed to parody the 24-hour news cycle. The stories are outlandish, but reality is so strange nowadays they could be true.”

  13. Taken out of context..people will always nice pic Christian believers. Mockery shall come. Jim bakker did not say to buy place in heaven. Leave the man alone you don’t like it don’t watch it. I love him he has been through hell and he is trying to get people to see the End of this age is here. Belive or not. Stop with the lies against him he is a man of God.

    • Chris
I don’t know if he said all this or not I don’t think anyone SHOUKD be saying anything without soneonen stating the proof and it not just being a few lines out of context etc. However I can tell that he literally truly is stealing I mean STEALING from Christians by advertising his food the way he does. It’s not a mistake. It’s not one persons point if view. He sells his food as a food supply for a person for a certain amount of time by advertising the servings. The catch is the serving calories are so low thst not even a small child can survive I listen to him and what’s strange is he does speak truth and is more right thdn many of the “word or faith” movement tv celebraties But thst does not change the other massive deception. The fact is he literally cannot be of God but rather a person who has been so deceived as to have sold his soul. He speaks truth while deceiving people out of money AND just think of the thousands of trusting Chritians who buy a year or two of food knowing hard days are coming and then one day they find out a year will only last a few months and then they realize the man of God they so blindly trusted is the one who cheated them !!!! This will occur at a point of extreme distress and will be a set up to dissapoint and violate trust and believe me it will do TERRIBLE harm to people’s faith as they have to suffer from the hands of the man of God they trusted. Ever wonder how he can get out of jail and a decade later be worth hundreds of millions having purchased 700 prime acres in Branson with giant buildings and hundreds of condos etc ???? He is cheating peopje who trust the gospel AGAIN
You are Likeky too young to remember why he went to prison
He RUINED THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of honest Christians lives while he STOLD their money. I’m all for firgivness even to a man like thst HOWEVER it’s clear he is doing it again It’s more subtle and actually with the whole push for emergency food it’s legal the way he does it but it should not be
I am a police officer and a Christian and I’ looked into buying his food and it is literally the biggest rip off biggest set of deception I have seen in along time And all coming from a man of God
I personally am outraged at what he is doing and plan to file multiple complaints with the Atforney Generals office as well as FTC
IF you don’t believe me watch him advertise his food on tbd show. Then look closely at his food and the way they say so much food per person per year and then look at the calorie of ea servicing. Then seeing will be believing. Then start looking at how many BBB complaints he is REFUSING to even answer as he daily throws the name of Christ in front of himself and his food
Remember the devil himself knows the word and the truth better then any man

  14. This is such a great idea! I’m going to borrow money from the bank and buy THREE lots in Heaven, and then flip them to other buyers when the idea catches on and a real estate bubble starts in Paradise. I’m gonna be bigger than Donald tRump in the Afterlife Financial Market, I tell ya!

  15. I love this idea! I’m going to my bank to borrow some money to buy four or five lots in Heaven, and then I’m going to flip them to new buyers once a real estate bubble develops in Paradise. I’m gonna be teh Donald tRump of the Afterlife!!!!

  16. People getting outraged over fake news – priceless “The Business Standard News is a satirical site designed to parody the 24-hour news cycle. The stories are outlandish, but reality is so strange nowadays they could be true.”

  18. Look at the crowds on the JIm Bakker show – all fogies and stogies – that’s where the money is and the most gullible bunch. Hey Jim, Satan does not forget our old toys and you had plenty of them. I feel really sorry for Lori, she must be very vulnerable, very naïve or just plain stupid.

  19. Come on…when you are obviously selling BS to take advantage of others,
    especially, when targeting vulnerable &
    weak minded Evangelicals…….
    “He is scum.” !!!!
    Baker has also proven,
by his self-serving behavior in the past…
    he is not trust worthy.
