FOX News host Eric Bolling has come out in defense of George Zimmerman’s plan to sell the gun that killed black teenager Trayvon Martin.
“He’s in a tough situation and he’s trying to make money to take care of his family,” said Bolling. “It’s a noble cause.”
Zimmerman was also supported by several commenters on FOX New’s website.
A poster called effwoehrle wrote: “Good for George! Making money on liberal outrage!”
In 2013, Zimmerman was found not guilty of killing Martin, who he was following through his neighborhood. He recently announced he was auctioning off the gun that killed Martin.
Zimmerman says he wants to use money raised by the gun sale to fight “Hillary Clinton’s anti-firearm rhetoric” and Black Lives Matter.
Bolling has made several racially offensive comments in the past. He once accused Obama of hosting “hoodlums in the hizzouse” and “chugging 40s.” Bolling was later forced to apologize.
Bolling was also forced to apologize after he called a female fighter pilot “boobs on the ground.”
