FOX News has announced it will hire right-wing talk show host Alex Jones to comment on the 2016 presidential campaign.

Jones is a fervent Donald Trump supporter and it is believed this decision is a reaction to FOX competitor CNN hiring former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

Jones, who hosts his own radio show “Info Wars,” said he looked forward to using his platform on FOX to promote the real estate mogul’s presidential bid.

“Donald Trump is the best hope to make America great again and defeat the elitist one-world agenda,” said Jones.

Trump has been a frequent guest on Jones’ show. Jones is a conspiracy theorist, who believes 9/11 was orchestrated by the government, the world is controlled by shape-shifting aliens and Beyonce works for the CIA.

According to Media Matters, Trump said Jones has a “great” reputation while appearing on his show. Trump and Jones do have one other thing in common. They both believe global warming is a hoax.

Jones adds to FOX’s motley crew of commentators such as washed-up rocker Ted Nugent, who has made racist comments and threatened to kill Hillary Clinton, has been actor Scott Baio, who thinks President Barack Obama is a Muslim, and disgraced cop Mark Fuhrman, who resigned from the Los Angeles Police Department after making racist comments during the O.J. Simpson trial.
