Social media is abuzz with the #TrumpgirlsbreaktheInternet hashtag, which features scantily-clad women declaring their support from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
According to BuzzFeed, the hashtag was created by the @BabesforTrump account to fight back against stories of Trump lagging behind Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton among women voters. However, some of the women featured in the hashtag are fuzzy about the facts on Trump and voting.
“I’m voting for Trump because I think he’s a great businessman,” said Britney Rouge, an exotic dancer and Trump babe. “He’s like a trillionaire or something. I think that once he finishes his first six-year term as president everyone in America will be rich, because he will bring back jobs. I can’t wait to vote for him in October.”
According to PBS, Trump is more popular with voters who don’t have a college education.
“These are folks who have been feeling a real struggle to make ends meet for decades now and they see a candidate coming along who says to them, ‘You’re right. You’re not getting your fair share. It sucks. And I’m going to stand up for you,’” said Katherine Cramer, a political science professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
“We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated,” said Trump during a victory speech in Nevada.
