A new survey by Occidental Public Polling (OPP) surveyed Donald Trump supporters and found many of them hold some pretty far-out views.
OPP surveyed 500 Trump supporters and found the following results:
– Fifty-three percent of Trump supporters believed Kwanzaa was a racist plot to eliminate Christmas.
– Forty-seven percent of Trump supporters blamed President Barack Obama for not finishing the first Iraq war and 50 percent of them blamed him for not stopping 9/11.
– Almost half of Trump supporters (56 percent) believed Hillary Clinton takes male hormones to make her more aggressive.
– More than 70 percent of Trump supporters believed black men were “inherently dangerous,” and a threat to all white women.
A Reuters article found many Trump supporters hold negative views of black people. According to Reuters, Trump supporters used words such as “criminal,” “unintelligent,” “lazy” and “violent” to describe black Americans. The poll, conducted in March, surveyed 16,000 people and included 21 questions on race.
