After calling Latino immigrants rapists and drug dealers, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is now trying to mend fences with Hispanic voters.
Trump has recently talked about going back on his promise to deport all undocumented immigrants. In an appearance on FOX News’ “Hannity,” he made pleasant comments about immigrants.
“We’ve got some great people in this country,” he said. “They shouldn’t be here, they’re still great people.”
Trump also gave Latinos a backhanded compliment in an interview on WEWH radio.
“I love the Hispanic people,” he said. “I have several of them mowing my lawns and cleaning my bathrooms.”
However, some Trump supporters are not happy with his new attitude towards illegal immigration.
A caller named “Nate” scared Glenn Beck by saying Trump might get a violent reaction if he fails to build a border wall.
“You don’t even understand the backlash of us, the ones who are so frustrated and angry and tired of all the political stuff. We’re going to come after him personally. You know what I mean? We’re going to get him,” said Nate.
