Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has come to the defense of Maine Gov. Paul LePage.
LePage is known for making controversial statements. He recently left an expletive-laden message on the voicemail of Maine state Rep. Drew Gattine.
“He talks good,” said the reality TV star in an interview with WEHW radio. “He is not politically correct. He would have a place in my administration.”
LePage also drew fire when he accused black drug dealers, with names like “Shifty,” of invading Maine, impregnating white women and causing the state’s heroin epidemic. He also accused Khizr Khan, whose son was killed in Iraq, over being a “con artist.” Khan criticized Trump at the Democratic National Convention.
