FOX News commentator Brian Kilmeade has praised Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for fighting to preserve American culture.

“Look, we have a distinct culture here in America,” said Kilmeade on “FOX and Friends.” “We want to remain an apple pie and ice cream culture and not turn into a rice and beans culture.”

This isn’t the first time Kilmeade has got into trouble for making offensive comments. Last Thanksgiving he asked a black presenter if she made kool-aid at her family gathering. He also praised Scandinavian countries for being racially pure and not mixed up with “ethnics.”

Kilmeade also once said “all terrorists are Muslim.” His co-host on “FOX and Friends” Steve Doocy has been named in a sexual harassment filed by former co-host Gretchen Carlson.

Marco Gutierrez, founder of Latinos for Trump, also defended the reality TV star’s speech. In an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid, he said illegal immigration threatens to destroy American culture.

“My culture is a dominant culture, and it’s imposing and it’s causing problems,” said Gutierrez, a Mexican immigrant. “If you don’t do something about it, you’re gonna have taco trucks [on] every corner.”

But high-level Latino Trump supporters have had enough. The Los Angeles Times reported 15 members (almost half) of Trump’s National Hispanic Advisory Council resigned in protest Thursday.
