Republicans are still trying to spin Donald Trump’s latest gaffe which is a tape featuring him and television host Billy Bush making lewd comments about women.

Right0-wing commentator Michael Savage tried to blame popular culture.

“People shouldn’t be surprised by his comments,” said Savage on his radio show “The Savage Nation.” “This gutter culture has drenched us in obscenities like pornography and rap music. That causes men to talk and act like this.”

Several other Republicans have come up with ridiculous excuses for Trump’s behavior.

CNN commentator and Trump supporter Scottie Nell Hughes tried to blame his comments on the erotic novel “50 Shades of Grey,” and the film “Magic Mike,” according to Raw Story.

“Unfortunately, we’ve made that to be a culture, a ‘50 Shades of Grey’ culture in today’s society,” said Hughes. “Men can talk like that. There’s nobody on that bus, as we’ve seen today, with someone [Billy Bush] losing their job over being suspended. 80 million copies of ‘50 Shades of Grey’ was sold. ‘Magic Mike’ was one of the most popular movies.”

But fellow CNN commentator Ana Navarro called her comment “50 shades of crazy.” Also, Trump made his comments in 2005, while “50 Shades of Grey” was published in 2011.

Televangelist Pat Robertson also tried to explain away Trump’s behavior on his show “The 700 Club.” He said Trump was just acting “macho” on the tape.
