The election of Donald Trump means several people who were once political outsiders are now being brought in from the cold. One of those people is Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate. Palin is rumored to be in consideration for a position as secretary of the interior.
Trump said there was definitely a place for Palin on his team, according to NBC’s “Today.”
“There’d be a role in my administration, if she wanted, and I’m not sure that she does want that, but there’d certainly be a role,” he said.
But Palin poured cold water on the idea during an interview with right-wing site The Patriot Media Sentinel.
“I don’t think I’d be interested in a job that had me redesigning the interior of the White House and other federal buildings,” said Palin.
However, the Department of the Interior overseas agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management, the United States Geological Survey, and the National Park Service. The Secretary of the Interior also serves on and appoint citizens to the National Parks Board.
