The CIA rocked the political world over the weekend when it confirmed that Russian hackers played a role in steering the election towards President-elect Donald Trump. According to the CIA, hackers, employed by the Russian government, strategically leaked negative emails from the DNC to WikiLeaks. The hackers also stole RNC emails, but failed to release them. Intelligence officials also accused FBI Director James Comey and Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell of colluding to cover up the information.
In spite of this damning information, Trump supporters are still denying the Russians influenced the election.
Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones believed there was a more sinister plot behind it.
“I think the hacking was done by the reptilian aliens,” said Jones on his show “Infowars.” “They have the level of technology to do this. The CIA is blaming it on the Russians because they want to cover up the fact that aliens are here.”
Jones believes that a group of shape-shifting reptilian aliens secretly controls the world. He also believes that government staged the Sandy Hook shooting by using “crisis actors.”
Former UN Ambassador John Bolton, a Trump supporter who has been tipped for the No. 2 position in the State Department, also had an equally ludicrous explanation for the hacking. On FOX News, he accused the Obama administration of being behind the hack.
“It is not at all clear to me just viewing this from the outside, that this hacking into the DNC and the RNC computers was not a false flag operation,” said Bolton.
Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin had an equally flippant attitude to the hacking.
Russia's getting out of hand? So says the defeated. Not to worry… remember I can keep an eye on them from here. https://t.co/jQBCDV5O3W

Meanwhile, Trump continues to insist that no one knows who was behind the hack, even though 17 intelligence agencies have pinned it on the Russians.
