Black conservative Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson believes that Donald Trump’s presidential victory will lead to a flood of black Americans joining the Republican Party. Trump has recently hosted several black celebrities to his Trump Towers office such as rapper Kanye West and former football players Jim Brown and Ray Lewis.
“Those were just the first,” said Peterson on his radio show. “Black people are beginning to wake up to the fact that all Democrats want to do is keep them on a plantation. The Republican Party wants to give them jobs, not handouts.”
But while Peterson is confident about the Republican Party attracting black voters, FOX News commentator Bill O’Reilly recently said that power needs to remain in the hands of white men. O’Reilly claimed calls for abolishing the electoral college were an attempt to seize power from the “white establishment.”
“Very few commentators will tell you that the heart of liberalism in America today is based on race,” said O’Reilly. “It permeates almost every issue: that white men have set up a system of oppression. That system must be destroyed… The left wants power taken away from the white establishment. They want a profound change in the way America is run.”
