It didn’t take long for the racist trolls to come after “Daily Show” correspondent Hasan Minhaj, who was the featured comedian as this year’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
Hasan, who labeled President Donald Trump the “liar-in-chief,” was the subject of racist comments the day after the event. One of them was from FOX News commentator Eric Bolling, who tweeted “Where is his green card?” and quickly deleted it. (Minhaj was born in San Francisco to Indian parents.)
Conservative commentator Ann Coulter called the comedian “a disrespectful camel jockey who needed to be deported.” (As an American citizen Minhaj can’t be deported.)
Commenters on Mediate and alt-right site Breitbart were just as bad making disparaging comments about Minhaj’s religion and ethnicity.
“Rope and a tree, monkey swinging winningly……,” said a Breitbart commenter called Badman.
“I understand. Hasan is sad because his brothers in arms were killed by the MOAB. Spreading Islam ain’t easy if they keep getting killed,” said a Mediaite commenter called Cyberstalker.
