One of the strangest parts of the 2016 presidential election was watching the alliance between thrice-married hedonist Donald Trump and the Religious Right. Even though Trump’s wife, Melania, shot softcore porn images and he once owned casinos, Evangelical Christians threw their weight behind Trump. And that alliance doesn’t show any signs of ending.
Televangelist Pat Robertson has proclaimed Trump will be a “great Christian leader.”
“God came to a dream and told me Trump will do great things for Christians,” said Robertson during an appearance on “The 700 Club.”
Jerry Falwell Jr., son of Jerry Falwell, founder of the Moral Majority, has also heaped praise on Trump.
“I think evangelicals have found their dream president,” said Falwell on FOX News’ “Justice With Judge Jeanine.”
Evangelicals are hoping the Supreme Court will eventually overturn Roe Vs. Wade outlawing abortion.
