Televangelist Pat Robertson has condemned Ariana Grande, whose Manchester concert was the scene of a terrorist attack.
Speaking on “The 700 Club,” Robertson criticized parents for letting their children attend a “sinful” concert.
“I believe that Ariana Grande is possessed by a demonic Jezebel spirit, which wants to lead people away from God,” said Robertson. “The way she gyrates her hips and talks about sex are signs of demonic possession.”
Fellow televangelist Jim Bakker also criticized Grande, according to Right Wing Watch. He said the concert attendees brought disaster upon themselves.
“What was the name of that concert? ‘Dangerous Woman concert.’ If we could tell you what we know—and we don’t have time today—but we’re going to talk about some of those things, they literally invited these kinds of things to happen,” said Bakker on his TV show. “They almost cursed themselves with this concert. I tell you what, God’s not going to put up with mockery. ‘Be not deceived, God is not mocked.’”
Twenty-two people were killed by a suicide bomber at the Grande concert. Grande has paid for some of the funerals and visited injured fans in hospital.
