Alt-right group the National White Alliance has come out in support of President Donald Trump’s policies, which seemed to be designed to play to his base — angry white people.
“We are gratified that white men finally have some representation in the government,” said National White Alliance President Brian Blanc in a press release. “For the last decade or so, white men have been largely ignored by the government, and overlooked in Corporate America and in the media. Now we have a president who is going to listen to our concerns.”
Yesterday Trump announced plans to cut immigration in half. Also the Justice Department says it will start investigating colleges that discriminate against white people with affirmative action policies.
On Tuesday White House advisor Stephen Miller clashed with CNN reporter Jim Acosta. Acosta said that Trump’s new immigration policy seemed designed to attract a certain kind of people.
“The Statue of Liberty says ‘Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.’ It doesn’t say anything about speaking English or being able to be a computer programmer. Aren’t you trying to change what it means to be an immigrant if you are telling them they have to speak English. Can’t they learn to speak English when they get here?” said Acosta.
