On Friday President Donald Trump parted ways with senior advisor Steve Bannon. Some insiders claim new Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly pushed him out to try and instill more discipline in the White House, but Bannon’s departure made indicate a greater rift.

According to FOX News insider “Chip,” Bannon tried to get a gig as a talking head on FOX, but was rejected. Chip claims that even FOX thought Bannon was too racist.

“Steve comes from the alt-right/neo-Nazi wing of the GOP, and FOX is trying to move away from that,” said Chip in an email.

FOX News has already fired several high-profile employees amid charges of racism and sexism. The scandal has already cost the heads of former CEO Roger Ailes and anchor Bill O’Reilly. Commentator Eric Bolling was recently accused of sending unsolicited penis pics to female coworkers.

Chip’s email seems to be accurate. According to the Chicago Tribune, James Murdoch, son of FOX News founder Rupert Murdoch, recently lambasted Trump’s tepid response to the domestic terror attack in Charlottesville, Va.

“I can’t even believe I have to write this: standing up to Nazis is essential; there are no good Nazis. Or Klansmen, or terrorists,” said James Murdoch. “Democrats, Republicans, and others must all agree on this, and it compromises nothing for them to do so.”

Bannon has returned to running white supremacist site Breitbart and says he plans to go to war with the Trump White House.
