Former Minnesota representative and leading Evangelical Michele Bachmann has urged President Donald Trump to hire a White House exorcist to fight back against what she calls “the demonic attacks from the alt-left/antifa.” The antifa movement, which stands for anti fascist, has been targeted by the right-wing media for violently opposing the resurgent neo-Nazi movement.
“Since Donald Trump is a man of God, Satan has decided to attack him through his minions, the alt left,” said Bachman in a press release.
Bachmann, like many other Evangelicals, has stayed silent as Trump has sided with the alt-right/neo-Nazis. Trump tweeted the Confederate monuments “were beautiful statues” and claimed there was violence on both sides.
Jerry Falwell Jr., son of the founder of the Moral Majority, defended Trump on ABC’s “This Week.”
Falwell claimed Trump has secret videos that showed there were good people marching with the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville.
“He has inside information that I don’t have,” said Falwell, president of Liberty University. “I don’t know if there were historical purists there who were trying to preserve some statues. I don’t know. But he had information I didn’t have. I think he saw videos of who was there. I think he was talking about what he had seen, information that he had that I don’t have.”
However, far-right protester James Alex Fields Jr. is currently sitting in jail facing murder charges for allegedly ramming his car into Heather Heyer.
