Even as President Donald Trump continues to careen from crisis to crisis, he still retains support from a hard-core group of fans. Recently members of the British parliament offered withering criticism of Trump for releasing a group of inaccurate videos from a United Kingdom hate group. But a new survey by Occidental Public Polling shows that 70 percent of Trump supporters think he has restored confidence to America.

“The stock market is up, consumer confidence is good and our enemies fear us again,” said Thomas Cates, a Trump supporter from Atlanta, Georgia.

“At least we have a president we can be proud of now,” said Willa Forrest, a Trump voter who lives in West Virginia.

Trump supporters seem to be oblivious to the daily scandals such as former National Security Advisor Lt.-Gen. Michael Flynn pleading guilty to lying to the FBI or Trump using a racial slur in front of Native American veterans.

But they aren’t the only people who seem to think Trump is doing a good job. According to Axios, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) described him as “one of the best presidents I’ve served under.”

GOP consultant Alex Castellanos said the only thing that matters to GOP voters is Trump acts tough.

“A strong daddy bear is what a lot of voters want,” he said. “Right or wrong, at least he’s fighting for us.”

An article in Liberal Up, shows that Trump still has wide support in Nebraska, where 80 percent of the Butler County voted for him.

“I’m really impressed with all of the things that (Trump’s) accomplished,” said farmer Bob Higler. “Energy security is one of his big things, and that’s what this is all about.”

However, Trump is yet to pass any major legislation and his tax reform bill is expected to add more than $1 trillion to the deficit, if it passes.
