Paula White, a televangelist who supports Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, is putting her fund-raising skills to use to help boost the real estate mogul’s slumping campaign.
White has started selling “American prayer flags” with half of the proceeds going to her ministry and half going to the Trump campaign.
“These are special flags that have been prayed over by Donald Trump and I,” said White in a video. “Fly these anointed flags in your home and it will guarantee the blessings of God.”
This is not the first time Paula White, a prosperity gospel preacher, has targeted her followers with “holy goods.” According to the Christian Post, White also sold her followers “resurrection seeds” for $1,144. The seeds were supposed to deliver her followers from “spiritual death.”
“I don’t know what is dead. I don’t know what the enemy sent a death to. I don’t know what decision that caused death to come upon whatever the situation you’re facing, but I do know that God has sent me to you to bring resurrection life. To tell you that I believe that as we put our faith together before Easter Sunday on March 27, there’s gonna be resurrection life in your life,” said White.
White, who has been married three times and is an advocate of the prosperity gospel, is seen as a spiritual snake oil salesman by religious scholars.
“Paula White is a charlatan and recognized as a heretic by every orthodox Christian, of whatever tribe,” said Russell Moore, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, according to Raw Story.
