FOX News commentator Eric Bolling has come to the defense of San Francisco 49ers player Bruce Miller who has been arrested for assaulting a senior citizen in a drunken rage.

“So he had too much to drink and slapped this guy around,” said Bolling on FOX. “The NFL should just give him a fine. He shouldn’t be barred from making a living.”

Miller has previously been accused of pushing his fiancee and smashing her phone, but he was not suspended or punished by the NFL.

However, criticism of 49er Colin Kaepernick has been fierce and often racist. Kaepernick generated national publicity after he refused to stand for the national anthem in protest of police violence.

A Twitter user called James E. Rustle wrote: “I hope you tear your acl next game stupid n***er,” according to Black Sports Online.

The NFL has also weighed in.

“I don’t necessarily agree with what he is doing,” said Commissioner Roger Goodell.
