A new Occidental Public Polling (OPP) survey shows how out of touch with reality Donald Trump supporters are. The new OPP poll contacted 1,000 Trump supporters to quiz them on several issues. Most surprising was their choice of media. Seventy percent said Breitbart and Alex Jones’ Infowars were their most trusted sources of news.

Breitbart, is a site that former CEO Steve Bannon described as a hotbed for the alt-right (white nationalists.) It has a section called “black crime,” and regularly runs stories on the dangers of Muslim migrants.

Jones recently published a video where he accused former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton of murdering, raping and chopping up the bodies of children. This lead to one of his listeners shooting up a Washington, D.C. pizzeria.

On Thursday, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow did an in-depth segment detailing how many Trump supporters believe the complete opposite of the truth. According to a Public Policy Polling survey, most Trump supporters believed the unemployment rate had gotten worse under President Barack Obama (he halved it) and millions of illegal immigrants voted in California.
