The right-wing media is rallying around real estate mogul Donald Trump and trying to convince the American public he would make a great president.
Although a recent Gallup poll showed that 70 percent of women have an unfavorable view of Trump, radio show host Michael Savage still believes that Trump can win over women voters.
“Trump has a strong personality and most broads are weak minded,” said Savage on his radio show. “It won’t be hard to win them over. They’ll soon come to realize Trump will be the best president for women in the history of the United States.”
Savage is not the only Republican who thinks that Trump will draw support from women voters.
According to the National Review, some Republicans are hoping that former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will be selected as Trump’s running mate. Gingrich, a family values advocate, is currently married to his third wife, who was his former mistress. He also asked his second wife to engage in an open relationship and broke up with her while she was in hospital.
“I think Newt is lobbying to be the vice president, and I think their people are paying a lot of attention to him,” said Ed Rollins, a Republican operative and former Gingrich staff member. “It’d be a ticket with six former wives, kind of like a Henry VIII thing. They certainly understand women.”
