Although actress-turned-pundit Stacey Dash has pledged to help Donald Trump win a large section of the black vote, her promise is being met with derision, according to people interviewed by The Business Standard News.
In an appearance on FOX Business with Stuart Varney, Dash said she was working to win over black voters to the Trump camp.
“I actually will be a part of that. I have a plan to do that, a strategy. …I have high-level minorities that are very prominent and they are willing to be a part of this strategy with me. It’s a tactical strategy that’s been used in Afghanistan and it’s worked and I can use it domestically and I will get the Republican vote,” said Dash.
However, the Business Standard News interviewed some black voters and they were not fans of Trump.
“Man, I would rather ask MC Hammer for financial advice than vote for Trump,” said Tyrone Biggs, a resident of Washington, D.C. “Trump has filed for bankruptcy more times than Hammer.”
Steve Williams of St. Louis, Mo. was equally critical of Dash.
“Ain’t nobody listening to Stacey Dash in the black community,” said Williams in an email. “I’d rather send my daughter to have coffee with Bill Cosby, than take advice from Stacey Dash. Hillary, all the way, mane.”
