It seems some Republicans are beginning to realize that making Donald Trump their presidential nominee might be a big mistake. Several Republicans have already come forward and said they will back Hillary Clinton. According to The Hill, former Republican Sen. Larry Pressler recently said he would vote for Clinton.
“I can’t believe I’m endorsing Hillary Clinton for president, but I am,” said Pressler,
Some GOPers are encouraging the party to start looking at other alternatives. Conservative commentator Glenn Beck said Trump will end up costing the GOP the White House.
“Because what’s going to happen is you are now going to have Hillary Clinton legalize as many voters as you can, the GOP is going to be completely racist – whether it’s true or not – because of Donald Trump. You will never have another Republican president ever again,” said Beck in an interview with USA Today.
William Kristol, a writer with the Weekly Standard, has suggested Sarah Palin, a former vice presidential candidate, as an alternative to Trump.
“Palin is intelligent, articulate, conservative and also has a great family,” said Kristol in an interview on WEHW. “She can unite the party, unlike the divisive Donald Trump.”
Palin said she would be ready to serve her country again.
“I would be happy to help Republicans take back the White House in October,” said Palin.
