Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s alt right supporters have leaped to his defense in the wake of a recent disastrous visit to Flint, Mich.
Trump turned up in Flint, a city which has been battling a contaminated water crisis, for a few photo ops. During an appearance at the Bethel United Methodist Church, Trump launched into anti-Hillary Clinton rant but was cut off by Rev. Faith Green Timmons, who told him to stick to the water issue.
“Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done in Flint, not give a political speech,” said Timmons.
However, white nationalists supporting Trump were outraged.
“Who does this negress think she is?” said Brian Blanc, president of the National White Alliance. “Did she realize she was interrupting a white man? Nobody talks to Mr. Trump like that, especially a black.”
A poster on Stormfront named Jeanmanière1488 was even more insulting calling Timmons an “obnoxious n**ger.”
The next day the notoriously thin-skinned Trump attacked Timmons on “FOX and Friends.”
“She (Timmons) was so nervous, she was shaking. And I said, ‘wow, this was kind of strange.’ And then she came up. So she had that in mind, no question about it,” said Trump.
