Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson is trying to spin his lack of knowledge about world affairs into a positive.

During an interview with WEHW radio, he bragged about not knowing anything about international politics.

“I would describe myself as kind of like a blank slate,” he said. “The good part of that is that I would go into the White House without any preconceived notions. At least I can’t make it worse than the so-called experts who have been making decisions so far.”

Johnson’s presidential campaign has been hit with several gaffes exposing his ignorance. He stunned the cast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” when he admitted he had no idea what or where Aleppo was.  He also couldn’t name any world leader that he admired.

More recently he seemed to be proud of his geographic ignorance, according to

“You know what? The fact that somebody can dot the is and cross the ts on a foreign leader’s geographic location then allows them to put our military in harm’s way,” said Johnson in an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell.
