Savage, FOX News Commentator Claim Trump Was Ignored By Media

Conservative commentator Michael Savage has praised President-elect Donald Trump, claiming his presidential win was a victory for the underdog.

“No one expected Trump to win,” said Savage on his radio show, “The Savage Nation.” “He was written off by the political establishment and the liberal media, who failed to properly vet Obama.”

Savage’s opinion about the media are also shared by FOX NEWS commentator Erin McPike.

“I think one of the issues is, that Trump has not gotten really any positive coverage from the mainstream media and he deserves some. Every politician, every president deserves some positive coverage,” said McPike on the FOX News show “Media Buzz.”

However, contrary to the views of right-wing commentators, Trump was actually treated with kid’s gloves by the media. He was often allowed to call into news shows such as “FOX and Friends.” The media also gave live coverage of his rallies, often showing empty shots of the podium as they waited for him to show up.

According to the New York Times, Trump received more than $2 billion in free media. However, he continues to insist he was treated unfairly by the media.
